Some say that social media are the online technologies and practices that people use to share their opinions, insights and experiences. For me, social media is a very effective tool.In my life because I always refer to this in making my assignments, most specially the difficult ones. It always kees me updated with the current events here and abroad. I am very positive that social media benefits me more, this made me a more efficient and responsible student by not posting anything that can harm me or my family, at the same time not giving negative comments on others. As a daughter with a dad working out of the country, I use this by communicating with him frequently. Several friends and relatives have their own social media accounts and their expressing positive comments on it. I will definitely create a social media account because this will make me a better person if I will use this correctly. your answers are honest and good because some students with their parents abroad will relate on what you said.

Social media accounts help me connect with friends. On the other hand, having social media accounts take up a student's studying time. It distracts one's studies. It lessens physical activity. Social media benefits me more than it harms be because for example i need any homework or if i don't understand anything, I could just message them or something so that i could understand the things that isn't clear for me. Social media teaches me to be more responsible of what i post/say. My family members do not abuse using it. They do not waste their time with it. They prioritize things that are more important. And they are responsible users Yes because it has many benefits. But there are advantages and disadvantages. For advantages, you would have a chance to make more friends but it is better if you meet them personally. It makes us to be more responsible users because you know what to do if there are strangers talking to you or asking for your numbers. And as i said awhile ago, if your having a hard time or if your absent you can ask your classmates by just messaging them. For the disadvantages, there is a possibility that you will be cyber-bullied. People this days have nothing to do. So they think it is fun to make fun of people in social media. AND some student's can't focus in studying just because of social media. So when they go to school, they don't know what to answer because they didn't study. These are just some tips for the other students who really love social media

As a Grade 8 student, Social media accounts helps me and harms me in many different ways. This helps me in my studies and when I need advice. Gives me more information of what's actually happening in different places. It could also benefit others by donating to online charity sites, or simply giving good advice to people. Teaches me different tips on how to make life easier. But social media doesn't always benefit. People share, tweet, or post their personal thoughts and feelings, because of that, they're being judged. It taught me to be very careful on what I post online.
Social media affects me not always in a good way but also as a distraction. Sometimes I forget my responsibilities because of social media. It also affects my family, and now my parents are addicted to candy crush. In the future, I would still make social media accounts for the benefit of staying connected to the world and what's happening.

Having Social Media accounts is very helpful for me because i can contact my classmates and family easily, it also helps me with research for school projects or special assignments. Social Media benefits me by teaching me how to be a better person and by expanding my personal learning network, this also teaches me how to be a responsible person by knowing and observing the advantages and disadvantages on Social Media. As a daughter, this affects me by making me more cautious of what I say and what I do. As a friend, Social Media is very helpful for me because I can message my friends and classmates quickly by just using Facebook or iMessage without struggling for load. As a student I think Social Media has it's advantages and disadvantages, one of the advantages is that you can easily research information for projects, one of the disadvantages are that some students search answers on the internet for their homework which is basically cheating. If I wouldn't have Social Media I would be easier for me to focus in studying because I wouldn't get distracted. Also if I wouldn't have Social Media accounts, It would be harder for me to contact my friends and schoolmates especially when I am absent on a school day and I need to know the homework/projects.In my opinion, the world would be a better place if Social Media didn't exist because people nowadays just stare at their gadgets for hours and not bother to talk to the people who they're with which the value of socializing slowly fades away

I think that social media has affected me and my life in many different ways. It does benefit more because the ways to communicate with my family and friends are easy. But it also can distract me from important schoolwork and family time. Social media does teach me to be socially responsible because we should know that we have to think twice before we could post any information that could affect you. It could lead you to being a target of cyberbullies and cybercriminals. We have to be sensitive of what we say because the person you are talking to could be emotionally hurt. As a student in social media, in a lot of times I am distracted from doing my schoolwork, but I have easy communication with schoolmates if I ever need help from them. As a friend, when I have not seen a friend for a long time, I could have a conversation with him/her while we are far apart. And as a daughter, my father would not be in the house because of work. So social media helps me keep up on how he is doing and to tell him we are fine and if we need anything from him.i think your opinion is very specific and well-defined. good job !

as a grade 8 student, having a social media account had affected my life in various ways, both positively and negatively. Positively by means of allowing me to have an easier access to communicate with my classmates when we have a discussion to make or if a love one lives abroad, i could easily talk to them right away. Also negatively because at times, i couldn't help myself but to be on my phone for too long due to having these accounts that may limit my bond with my families and others which is something that should be prevented. I think it does benefits me a lot rather than harm because some school activities includes having research and a great example is Edmodo which gives us way to know what the homework or any school works our teacher wanted us to do. Social Media did taught me how to be a responsible user in the internet because i know for a fact that a single post or status that's inappropriate could offend others and basically my whole life would be affected. These account have affected me as a daughter by giving updates to my family who does not have a social media account about the things they want to know about other family members or other interesting news. It affects me as a friend by being able to communicate with them at times when i need them and when they do as well and as a student by being able to contribute a lot of ideas as a group mate. If I dont have a social media account while my friends and family does i'd most probably be outdated. If i dont have one, I'll miss out huge news and might not be able to talk among my friend/classmate/family member easily and that would make me make an account. And yes, i might try creating a social media account because it would surely be an advantage for me, although there's a negative side of it, i'd be doing my best to be safe from harm in the internet and having my limits for me to bond with my family and not just stay on the accounts i made. i like how you vividly described how Social Media affected you in various ways

As a grade 8 student, having social media accounts will be helpful to me because it connects me with my friends, teachers, classmates and most especially my family. It also helps me to research fast and easy with my home works and other projects needed in school. Having social media accounts benefits me a lot than harm because it keeps my connection with my friends and family and it helps me to be responsible in all activity using the internet. I make sure that the location mode is not on and also i am very careful on what i am posting. As a daughter, my parents assure me that i am responsible with the rules of using the internet. Being connected in the social media with my friends help me to be aware of posting things that can affect their feelings and as a student, it allows me to know the assignments when i'm absent. If i don't have social media accounts but my friends has then i'll not be updated with all the projects posted and i'll have a hard time communicating with others. If my mother allowed me to make a account in the internet then it will be easier for me to connect with my friends and family. There are also disadvantages in making a social media account like someone can get your private informations by just searching your name, so always make sure that you shouldn't give or post some informations about you, especially the technology nowadays has been improved and upgraded. I think you've done a great job explaining your answer! ;)Keep it up!

Social media has affected me in neutral ways both created an impact and has it owns advantages and disadvantages. This generation social media empowers an innovative way of learning which helps students to collaborate, be creative and productive in many ways. It benefits me more as a student because it helps me research widely on a given topic. Social media had taught me more to be socially responsible because it maintains my own privacy and respect others opinion knowing the concept of freedom of speech online this has unabled me to be careful what i say and not to support any cyber bullying act. Innovative world has created ways of expressing myself as a student, withought the internet students will have diffuculty in exploring new profound ideas and withought this they will inhabit limited knowledge I like the way how you explained the advantages in having a social media

I think that social media as a whole has affected me in different ways but more on positive effects. this definitely teaches me to be more responsible online especially because we all have a habit of posting how we feel or what we're doing and considering that a lot of people will be able to see what we post, there is a higher risk of other people stalking or targeting you as a victim of specific online related crimes. we have to be careful because there are a lot of people with bad intentions online and posting something about yourself can harm not only you but the people around you too. Social media as a student, helps me in ways like getting the homework from my friends online or having forums like this in able for you and other people to collaborate in school related activities. As a friend, i am able to see what my other friends are up to, and talk about.i am able to share to other people how i feel and what i have been recently doing. As a daughter, considering my mom travels a lot, social media helps me to talk to her while she is abroad or not at home. Your insight is not only agreeable but also true. I respect your answer about the risk present in each social network sites through the things common people follow-- such as citing their exact locations and extra unneeded personal information. It is without doubt, correct about the benefit of social media for school work and for group activities that are held in school. I really like your accurate response about Social Media Presence

As a Grade 8 student, having social media accounts makes a great impact in my life. I say this because communicating is made easier and one gets informed internationally. For example, there are times when a classmate is absent and instead of doing the traditional way (which is letter writing), we can just type it in and press the "send" button. However, we cannot always thank the internet because there are some cases where we experience poor wi-fi connection or cyber-bullying. But, we should still remain on the bright side because without social media, who knows what might have happened today?
My social media presence affects me as a daughter when it made me change who I am to my parents and siblings. Like for example, I become more talkative to my brother about something eventful that happened online. It affects me as a friend when the internet makes me updated of what's going on worldwide so that I could join in their discussions. Lastly, it affects me as a student when it changed my study habits. When I was in Lower School, I would normally get academic certificates. But ever since I entered Middle School, I just got club certificates. Which means, social media is a pressure for me as a student because I have to learn how to balance the use of the web and my education.

Social Media affects my life in a positive way. Social Media can be safe if we're all careful on what we say and post. When I didn't get to copy the homework my classmates can send the homework to me. When I need help in understanding something, I can ask someone for help. Social Media teaches me to be socially responsible since I know that the little mistakes I make here, in the internet, can make a big problem in the real world. As a friend, social media allows me to stay in touch with some of my friends that transferred to another school. As a daughter, It makes me closer to my father since he works faraway.

As a Grade 8 student, social media has helped me in various ways whether in the aspect of educational purposes or communication. Through the internet, we get to expand our network, know more people and learn new things that are not even taught in school or is in its curriculum. The social network is more of a benefit to us students and it has made us become more aware of the events that happen worldwide. But of course, we have to be very cautious of the dangers present leading it to a crime or something unappropriate for us. Example, we suddenly misclicked a link, ad or picture that has content not suitable for our age. Some mishaps like a child being surrounded by a dangerous environment, giving him/her bad influences, usually leads to the child being a criminal in the future. My social media presence affects me as a family member that I get to know more updates about what's going on in the family like my uncles, aunts and cousins that I get to report to my parents to know what's going on. As a student, it affects me in a manner that there are group works and through the net we can discuss more on our projects and be more collaborative in school works. As a friend, we get to bond more through chatting online and it is also beneficiary that in social media networks, we can chat for free without troubling with payments (Ex: load) and it is much easier online. Through modern technology, everyone can know more people and learn new things through the advance knowledge we have of the social network. I think that your response is very inquiring for people who are interested in knowing the social media presence.

I like what you said about the disadvantage of being online with the crimes and cyber bullying incidents happening throughout the web. I hope that you fulfill your promise on using social media accounts for you to be connected to the events happening in the world.

Yes, having these social media accounts do affect my life. Because with these accounts, I can link myself with whatever happens around the globe. I can now be less ignorant of events around the globe that affect us on a global scale. I can now share my opinions and have a meaningful discussion about others opinions as well. On the topic of "does it benefit me more than it harms me", it most definitely benefits me more. As previously stated, it helps me get news around the globe, it allows me to see many varieties of ideas and opinions. It also allows me to talk to my friends and family who are far from where I reside. But I cannot lie, it occasionally harms me, but only indirectly. It harms me through ignorant opinions, opinions that do not value a persons well-being just because they have a different preference in music, clothes, pastimes. Opinions that degrade others just because they are being something they can't help but be. But it definitely benefits me more.
Yes, social media teaches me to be more responsible, whilst still politely expressing my feelings. But there are also those who do not mind their manners and do not care about others feelings. I do not like paying attention to them, but they should be still addressed politely. It affects me as a daughter, a friend, and a student through means of communication. Now, if my parents are away on a business trip, I can easily talk to them and ask how they are as if they were right next to me. And, if my friend/classmate is sick or needs help with her homework, I can easily send her the homework, help her to catch up with the lessons she missed, and explain to her anything she doesn't understand. Also it serves as a communication network between students and teachers, like Edmodo. I can now submit my projects through the internet without hassle.
