My social media accounts have been really useful these days, now that technology are almost used everywhere. It teaches me to be a responsible user, for example, when I log in my account on Facebook, I see a friend request but I don't know who the person is, I just ignore the request and continue what I was doing. It affects me as a daughter when I go to my grandparents' house every week days and our printer is broken, I use Yahoo to send it to my dad for it to be printed. As a friend, when my friends and I need help in homework, we use Oovoo or Viber so that we could communicate at home. As a student, when I am absent, I use Facebook to ask for the things I missed and for homework.

Social Media affects my life in a positive way. Social Media can be safe if we're all careful on what we say and post. When I didn't get to copy the homework my classmates can send the homework to me. When I need help in understanding something, I can ask someone for help. Social Media teaches me to be socially responsible since I know that the little mistakes I make here, in the internet, can make a big problem in the real world. As a friend, social media allows me to stay in touch with some of my friends that transferred to another school. As a daughter, It makes me closer to my father since he works faraway. Yes, I agree that social media allows us to connect to our friends and family, especially if they are far away. I agree that we can use this to our advantage as well, like for asking help on our assignments and clarifications. I am glad that you admit that you make mistakes on the internet and the possible effects in can have in real life.

As a Grade 8 student, having social media accounts makes a great impact in my life. I say this because communicating is made easier and one gets informed internationally. For example, there are times when a classmate is absent and instead of doing the traditional way (which is letter writing), we can just type it in and press the "send" button. However, we cannot always thank the internet because there are some cases where we experience poor wi-fi connection or cyber-bullying. But, we should still remain on the bright side because without social media, who knows what might have happened today? My social media presence affects me as a daughter when it made me change who I am to my parents and siblings. Like for example, I become more talkative to my brother about something eventful that happened online. It affects me as a friend when the internet makes me updated of what's going on worldwide so that I could join in their discussions. Lastly, it affects me as a student when it changed my study habits. When I was in Lower School, I would normally get academic certificates. But ever since I entered Middle School, I just got club certificates. Which means, social media is a pressure for me as a student because I have to learn how to balance the use of the web and my education. I enjoy that you shared examples as to how social media has changed you as a human being. As to how social media has affected you as a student, I suggest you lessen the time you spend on the internet. I have experienced first hand how great you do in math, and maybe if you stay away from the internet just a little you will graduate with those club and academic certificates in hand.

Social media has affected my life in many ways. It allows me to communicate with others around the world and learn new things. I am also able to express myself freely and see other peoples lives through social media. Despite all the advantages of using social media, it can bring many problems and disadvantages to our lives. Many people use social media to express their hate and anger to others. Others also use it as a trap or trick for kidnapping, stealing, and other bad doings. Being on social media all the time will also lessen the time you spend with your family and loved ones. It can also be a distraction when studying or working.
As users of social media, we should always be responsible of what we do on social networking sites. We should be responsible users of the internet. We should be cautious of the people who are able to know our personal information and also the things we are going to post about. The information we post should be kind and polite and should not contain too much information. We should also be aware of the time we use on social media and if what we are doing is productive or not. Let us all be responsible users of social media.

Some say that social media are the online technologies and practices that people use to share their opinions, insights and experiences. For me, social media is a very effective tool.In my life because I always refer to this in making my assignments, most specially the difficult ones. It always kees me updated with the current events here and abroad. I am very positive that social media benefits me more, this made me a more efficient and responsible student by not posting anything that can harm me or my family, at the same time not giving negative comments on others. As a daughter with a dad working out of the country, I use this by communicating with him frequently. Several friends and relatives have their own social media accounts and their expressing positive comments on it. I will definitely create a social media account because this will make me a better person if I will use this correctly. your answers are honest and good because some students with their parents abroad will relate on what you said. Very well said opinion and I agree. Although social media has disadvantages, it is still very beneficial for many people around the globe.

Having no social media account, I have observed from friends an families that social media has become a way of life for them in our modern society. It has provided them with a range of benefits including easier communication and faster delivery of news not only from our country but from around the globe as well. Social media has also promoted, to my friends and family members, the qualities of a good netizen and real world citizen such as being responsible, empathetic, polite, and respectful. Social media, however, also has some negative effects to them, physically, mentally and emotionally. Friends and family tend to become too dependent on social media to the extent that they could not last a single day without it. Cyber bullying and constant criticism from others is also a serious factor on their emotional behavior having the possible effect of degrading their confidence. Poor eyesight and decreased physical activity is also a negative effect I have seen in my family due to the constant use of social networking.
I would consider creating an account in the future for the purposes of communication and adjusting to the trend of our modern society. Creating an account would also help me in school related tasks and assignments, give a wider scope of the world and it would also be a good means for expressing myself and my creativity. Social media would also be a good medium for socialization and developing my personality. Being exposed to others' opinions and beliefs in social media will enhance my understanding of how each person has a different view of our world. Social Media may have a lot of negative effects on our society but not having an account on social media, for me, would outweigh all of those hindrances since in this age of information technology, not being able to adapt to our present world would be one of the greatest mistake of all.

As a Grade 8 student, Social media accounts helps me and harms me in many different ways. This helps me in my studies and when I need advice. Gives me more information of what's actually happening in different places. It could also benefit others by donating to online charity sites, or simply giving good advice to people. Teaches me different tips on how to make life easier. But social media doesn't always benefit. People share, tweet, or post their personal thoughts and feelings, because of that, they're being judged. It taught me to be very careful on what I post online.
Social media affects me not always in a good way but also as a distraction. Sometimes I forget my responsibilities because of social media. It also affects my family, and now my parents are addicted to candy crush. In the future, I would still make social media accounts for the benefit of staying connected to the world and what's happening.
I agree with you. Social media can benefit and harm people. We need to be cautious and responsible in using it. I would also make social media accounts in the future for the same purpose.

I agree to what you have said. It is true that even though social media has its disadvantages something more important would outweigh all of those and that is need for communication and socialization.

Social Media can affect us in good and bad ways, It gives us communication with people far away from us. It can more on harm us from the sites thats shows inappropriate things.Your studies can be affected if you use your phone everyday without limit.Social Media can give us social insensitivity if we talk about people we don't like in your own group chats(gc). It Affected me in a way that i don't care about my surroundings when i use my gadgets so I try to balance it. No, It will attract children to use these website as a pass time, and without noticing it we are wasting our time already. Instead of studying we chat, blog, or tweet random stuff not related to anything. wWe don't bother if it annoys people.

For me, social media has affected me in so much ways but it benefits me more than it harms me. It has has helped me excel in my studies and also helps me become closer to other people. Social media has made me more responsible online in what i say and what i do. Having social media accounts basically makes me more social in terms of making more friends. it also gives me an opportunity to be able to make study groups and ask for help for my studies. In my experience, having no social media (especially Facebook) was hard. Whenever i needed to contact my classmates or friends, I don't get the chance to just because I don't have the social media accounts they have. Social media has also had its cons. it has become a weapon in society that may easily trick us into something we do not know about. Now that technology is more advanced, we should be more careful of how we use it. We shouldn't take the technology we have now for granted and use it to commit crimes. Also, following the rules of Netiquette, we should not talk rude when we are using social media. Make sure you think before you do something because anything we say can affect someone in a bad way.

Having social media affects my life greatly. Social Media gives me connections to people I need to talk to whenever and wherever I want. Overall, I think social media benefits me more than harms me because I get updated with the news when I see posts about it on Facebook and I get to chat with my friends and family when I first log in to see how they are doing.
Social media makes us socially insensitive because sometimes we have the tendency to indirectly attack someone when they hurt us or when we don't like them. I will be honest I indirectly attack people on social media as well but I am doing my best to avoid doing it. Being a student on social media, I can get assignments from my classmates or participate in forums like this one.

For me, having social media accounts can affect anyone in a positive and negative way. The positive side is that I get the opportunity to actually socialize easily because I'm anonymously talking behind the screen, no one even questioning why I do these weird things. No one asking about my randomness or my weird personality. It also gives chances for me to think about something before I post without anyone questioning why I took long. Unlike the real world, if you give a late reply, people are probably thinking that you are thinking of a horrible thought. But the negative thing is that getting sucked into social medias makes you forget the importance of the real world. You get too addicted to the fictional world, you completely ignore the real world, thinking it's a bad thing. And it's destroying your life. You say that no one cares about you except your internet friends even though people care more about you in the real life. I love my internet friends, but sometimes when you need a shoulder to cry on, they can't reach you. You have to rely to real people. And sometimes it benefits me more than harm me. I'm sure you are familiar with the "life-related" posts on Facebook and Tumblr. When I was an "anti-social freak", reading posts that I could do to speak up helped me and at the same time didn't. I observed how people make jokes to each other, how they act and I even copied the volume of their voices. It went good for a little while until I went to the point in my life someone (who I am kinda thankful for) told me that my jokes were getting offensive everyday. And instead of trying to think about it, I relied on social media posts. Yep. But it worked though. The posts just sometimes talks about what kind of people our society "dislikes" and you just start thinking about your life and how you are similar to that person. And you just want to change. I went through that. And I think everything I've said already answers the question "How does your social media presence affect you as a daughter, a friend, and a student?"

Social media like Facebook, twitter, instagram, etc affects our life by keeping updated with our friends, classmates and relatives' activities. In this we can learn many things from them and apply them in our everyday lives. But sometimes, social media can also hurt us by people who are posting unlike and inappropriate words to us. Another thing is it gives us anxiety and poor self esteem as well. Knowing what other people are doing and where they are going. You may even compare yourself to them. You may feel worthless because you are not doing something great. The benefits of computer is that you can easily get things done in a short period of time. You can access the internet to give enough information on any topic. You can also improve your work effectively. If you abuse using the computer, lots of time will be wasted. Maybe you can acquire disease because of radiation. You can also access bad information not suited to your age. Social Media teaches us responsibility by censorship. This means that we post constructive criticisms only so that people can improve their lives. My social media presence affect me as a daughter by easily communicating with my parents through Facebook, etc. Social media is helpful to us because if we have an assignment in school, we can do research through internet by doing group study.
